About North Grand Junction

The north area of Grand Junction is among the most desirable areas of the valley. While it is car dependent, it offers easy access to town, the airport, and access outside of the valley via I-70. 

North Grand Junction starts at Patterson Road, and extends north to the desert. There are a variety of home styles and sizes in the area, but much of it is zoned Residential Rural, which limits development. Parts of North Grand Junction are within the city limits, but much of the area is unincorporated.

Schools, safety, and things to do.

Students attend District 51 public schools, or have the option of several private and charter schools located within the area. 

While North Grand Junction is primarily residential, Horizon Drive does offer a variety of restaurants, many hotels, and commercial properties. The Grand Junction Regional Airport is located within the boundaries of North Grand Junction. There is a Safeway and a City Market within the boundaries of North Grand Junction.

There are several access points to the north desert from the area as well. There are trails for motorcycles, atv’s, single track, hiking, and more. Canyon View Park is located on 24 Road, and is the largest sports complex in the valley, with a variety of softball/baseball fields, volleyball, multi-purpose fields, a playground, tennis court, trails, a dog park, and more.

The Grand Junction Regional Airport is located in north Grand Junction, at the north end of Horizon Drive, nestled against the Bookcliffs.
