Do you know where to find your water shut-off valve?
In Grand Junction, they are typically found near the hot water heater, under the kitchen sink, or in the garage. This is where you can shut the water off prior to it going through the pipes inside your home.
Why would you need to know where it is?
In case of a water leak or other emergency, you can turn the water off to prevent further water damage within your home. If we are going to be away from our home for longer than a few days (especially in colder months), we will often turn the water off to prevent any potential leaks while we are away – just don’t forget to turn it back on when you get home!
