Here is a tip on getting all of your wood cutting boards and charcuterie boards cleaned up.
Plastic and glass cutting boards are easy to toss into the dishwasher, but if you use wood cutting boards for slicing or for a charcuterie board, you will need to give them a little bit of extra attention.
After washing your wood cutting boards down with hot water and scraping off any dried on bits, rub those tough stains on wooden cutting boards with half a lemon dipped in salt, then rinse off. For especially difficult stains, baking soda works in place of the salt.
After cleaning and drying, rub some food safe beeswax or coconut oil into them to keep them from drying out. After oiling, I occasionally put them in a low heat oven to help the oil soak into the wood more quickly before putting them away.
Wipe them down with a soft towel and put them away, ready for the next use!
